Changes in 2020!
Beginning May 15th of 2020, all wood/pellet burning stoves must meet the Step 2 EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) emissions standard. The Step 2 standard requires all wood and pellet burning emissions to be under 2.0 g/h.
Two common practices manufactures have taken to meet the emissions standard include adding non-catalytic and catalytic combustion. After the 05/15/2020 deadline, stoves lacking EPA Step 2 certifications and listing tags can not and will not be sold.
